Personal data we process

LuminAir Amsterdam processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself.

We may process the following personal data:

• Internet browser, device type and user agent
• IP address
• Personal data you actively provide, for example through our event enquiry form, by email or by phone, or when you make a reservation or subscribe to our newsletter via SevenRooms (such as name, email address, phone number, company name, and event details)
• Approximate location derived from your IP address
• Data about your activity on our website, including the page visited, the referrer and a timestamp
• Data about your browsing across websites, through advertising networks (Meta and TikTok), only if you accept tracking cookies, including click identifiers from our ads
• If you enter details on this website and accept tracking cookies, a hashed version of your email address, phone number, name, city, country and an internal ID may be sent to Meta for advertising matching. Date of birth and gender are not sent. Payment data, health data and government identity numbers are not collected.

This website does not have user accounts. Reservations and newsletter sign-ups are handled on SevenRooms.

Special and/or sensitive personal data

We do not intend to collect special-category data (such as health, religion, or political opinions) through this website.

Our website and services are not intended to collect data about visitors younger than 16, unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. We cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents are involved in their children's online activities, to help prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you believe we have collected personal data about a minor without that consent, please contact us at AMSCS.LuminAir@Hilton.com, and we will delete this information.

Purposes

LuminAir Amsterdam processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• Sending our newsletter (via SevenRooms)
• Handling reservations, event enquiries, and providing our bar and restaurant services
• Measuring advertising and showing relevant ads via Meta (Facebook) and TikTok, managed for our campaigns by The WinWin Agency, only with your consent

Legal bases

We process personal data on the following legal bases:

• Consent, for tracking cookies, the Meta and TikTok advertising pixels (including Meta advanced matching), and when you subscribe to our newsletter
• Performance of a contract, or steps at your request before entering into a contract, for reservations and event enquiries
• Legitimate interest, for keeping the website secure, including spam protection on the enquiry form

Automated decision-making

LuminAir Amsterdam does not use automated decision-making, including profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

How long we keep personal data

LuminAir Amsterdam does not keep your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data is collected.

• Retargeting audiences built from the Meta and TikTok pixels are kept for 180 days, the maximum Meta and TikTok allow. After a campaign ends, The WinWin Agency deletes these audiences. How long Meta and TikTok themselves keep the underlying event data is set out in their privacy policies. Partner cookies may last for the periods listed in the cookie overview below.
• Event enquiries, reservations, and newsletter data are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, provide the service, or send the newsletter, and are then deleted or anonymised. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Sharing personal data with third parties

LuminAir Amsterdam shares your personal data with third parties when this is necessary to perform an agreement or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we enter into a data processing agreement to ensure an equivalent level of security and confidentiality. LuminAir Amsterdam remains responsible for these processing activities.

The Meta (Facebook) and TikTok pixels on this website are managed by The WinWin Agency (SkyBox B.V.). The pixels sit in WinWin's Meta Business Manager and TikTok Business Center. WinWin uses the data exclusively for our advertising campaigns. We provide this data to WinWin, Meta and TikTok only with your explicit consent, via the cookie banner.

For these pixels, Meta's Business Tools Terms and TikTok's Business Products (Data) Terms apply. Those terms were accepted by WinWin when the pixels were put into use.

If you make a reservation or subscribe to our newsletter, you leave our website and continue on SevenRooms. SevenRooms then processes your data under its own privacy policy.

Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

LuminAir Amsterdam uses functional and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Similar techniques, such as local storage and tracking pixels, may be used in the same way.

We use cookies and similar techniques with a purely technical function. These ensure that the website works properly, for example by remembering your cookie preferences.

In addition, we place tracking cookies so we can measure advertising and offer more relevant ads. These tracking cookies are placed by Meta (Facebook) and TikTok, are managed by The WinWin Agency, and are only used after you give consent.

On your first visit we inform you about these cookies and ask for your consent in the cookie banner. If you click Accept, the Meta and TikTok pixels may be loaded. If you click Reject, these tracking cookies are not placed. You can change your choice at any time via Manage Privacy Settings in the footer, or by clicking that link here.

Your consent preference is stored locally in your browser (via our consent tool) so we can remember your choice. This storage is necessary for the banner to work.

You can also refuse cookies by setting your browser not to store cookies, and you can delete cookies that were stored earlier via your browser settings.

Accessing, correcting, or deleting your data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw consent for processing, to object to processing by LuminAir Amsterdam, and to data portability. That means you can ask us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organisation you name.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, or data portability, or a request to withdraw consent or object to processing, to AMSCS.LuminAir@Hilton.com.

To make sure the request is made by you, we may ask you to confirm details we already have (for example the email address you used). We do not ask you to send a copy of your identity document. We will respond as soon as possible, and within four weeks.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). You can do so via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

How we protect personal data

LuminAir Amsterdam takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorised alteration.
